It is time to move on

Yesterday

I saw my E.N.T specialist and he told me

  1. There is no cure
  2. I should accept my loss of the right ear
  3. I should live forever with a permanent tinnitus
  4. I should move on.

SO

PPC will move to this new address HERE with a new name

and then PPC will be closed as soon as

enough PPC followers have joined PPA (aka PPC 2.0)

PPC had 489  followers, i hope PPA will have at least 300

it won't be a private blog

The End of PPC

Due to a major health issue, i could call it "the most related one to music", i have to close PPC, it will go offline at the end of the year unless a miracle cure could happen, even though everyone i have seen during the past five weeks has said the odds are at its lowest.

Of course, i'm gonna try to finish and complete the current series with my left ear before going offline. The work is slower than previously because i have to be careful to keep my left ear alive.

Finally, I'd like to thank all the PPC readers who have always posted comments here supporting my works.

The Big Bang Theory!

 THE FLESHTONES PRESENT

TIME BOMB: THE BIG BANG THEORY (1988)

The "Time Bomb" compilation was only released in three countries:  France (New Rose), USA (Skyclad) and Greece (Hitch-Hike). It has never been available  in CD format. It features variously permutated side projects by Fleshtones and their pals, along with non-LP tracks from the band proper. Love Delegation, Full Time Men, Action Combo, Cryin’ Out Loud, Mad Violets and Wild Hyenas all toss in OK cuts, but the disc really catches fire on the Action Dogs’ sizzling “I Can’t Get Through to You,” starring Peter Case + The Plimsouls, and the mothergroup’s “I Was a Teenage Zombie,” from the film of the same name. Night Time Is The Right Time

NIGHTMAN - NO ESCAPE (1981)
Instead of including my own notes,
here's an accurate  review made by a power pop fan on RYM

I read somewhere that this was Tommy Keene' s backing band at the very beginning of his career: indeed, these musicians backed Tommy Keene on his first solo album "Strange Alliance" which was recorded for Limp (Nightman's label) but ended up on Tommy Keene's own Avenue label.
Other than that, however, Nightman was a new wave power pop band in its own right and some of the songs on this rather elusive vinyl album are fairly good.
'Waiting' sounds a bit like Dwight Twilley while 'Headline' and 'Remember You' bear all the hallmarks of the new wave sound of the time (the very early 1980s).
One song the ska/reggae song 'Skanky' is terribly outdated and should have been put aside. Curiously, the best songs are found on the B side where 'Critical Line' and 'Working' are the catchiest numbers.

Unofficial Release

FORTUNATE SONS - CYRIL SAYS HI!! (2001)
Unofficial release which offers the acetate version of Karezza
different mix and different track order from the UK LP edition
with the inclusion of live tracks recorded in Zurich around 1987.

And now the funny or not so funny parts,

not only the front sleeve shows Chris Wilson
and neither the founder of the band, Robin Wills, or the band are pictured

The mistitled "Cyril Says Hi!!" is actually "Your Time Has Come"
which was a bonus track available on the spanish edition of Karezza.

And finally, the tray locates Zurich in Germany!!
